Cookies and Browser Storage We Set

SYNCWILD sets exactly one cookie and uses two small browser-storage entries. Nothing else. This page is the single, authoritative list (our Privacy Policy links here).

• __Host-sid (cookie): keeps you logged in after registration/login. Strictly necessary. HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax, Path=/, host-only (no Domain), 30 days. The server stores only a SHA-256 digest of the session token.
• syncwild_chat_v1 (local storage): your recent AI assistant conversation, kept only in your own browser for up to 7 days so a chat survives page reloads. Never sent to us except the messages you actively send.
• syncwild_ai_disclosed_v1 (local storage): remembers that you have seen the AI assistant's identity notice, so it is shown only once.
• syncwild_cookie_notice_v1 (local storage): remembers your cookie banner choice (accept or reject). Storing your choice is itself strictly necessary to honor it — that is the only thing we store when you choose Reject All.

What We Do Not Set

What Reject All changes: the AI assistant keeps your conversation in memory only (cleared when you close the tab), the AI identity notice is shown on each open, and only your choice itself is remembered. Logged-in sessions still need the session cookie — choosing to log in is itself consent to that strictly-necessary cookie; simply do not log in to stay cookie-free (anonymous browsing sets none).

No analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, and no third-party scripts of any kind. Because we only use strictly-necessary storage, no cookie consent banner is required for our current setup — this page is the disclosure.

If we ever introduce non-essential (statistics or marketing) cookies in the future, we will add an opt-in consent mechanism first and list them here.

How to Control Cookies

You can delete or block cookies and site data at any time in your browser settings ("Cookies and site data" / "Website data"). Blocking the session cookie only means you cannot log in; the rest of the site works without it. Clearing site data also removes the locally stored chat history.

Changes

Any new cookie or browser-storage entry will be listed on this page with its purpose and duration before it is introduced. The current version of this notice is always on this page with its effective date.
